For many homes a one off thorough clean can take several hours, it all depends on the size of your property, condition and level of detail needed.
What is a deep clean?
A deep clean is a full property visit tackling areas with dirt build up, grease and areas that are not covered in a regular cleaning visit.
With a regular clean you are maintaining a home that is already a good standard.
How long does a deep clean take?
Although it is hard to know until you start cleaning, we can give you a rough guide.I recently completed a job that took me 12 hours by myself. It was a 4 bedroom, 3 bathroom with four lounge areas, large kitchen and conservatory.
1 bedroom house - 4-5 hours
2 bedroom house 6-8 hours
3 bedroom house - 7-10 hours
Why do deep cleans vary?
There are many different factor that affect how long a clean can take.
The bathrooms and kitchens take by far the longest as they are the most used places. Dust build up hides behind the toilets and in corners you do not look in very often including skirting boards. Limescale over time builds up on the taps and may not be as noticeable.
Can a deep clean be completed in one day?
The majority of the time it can be finished in the day but if the condition is really dirty it may take us a lot longer and it may have to be split into 2 days.
We try to have two cleaners on each deep clean so if each cleaner is there for 8 hours, that is 16 hours of labour.
What is included in a full reset?
A thorough clean of the property to include things like
bathroom - behind toilet, mirror, skirting boards, tiles, bath/shower, limescale removal
kitchen - outside cupboards, surfaces, sink, hoovering and mopping, kickerboard
living room - skirting boards, dusting, behind furniture and more.
How should I prepare for a deep clean?
Please make sure that surfaces are accessible to the cleaners as we will be able to spend more time cleaning than organising belongings.
We can move small and light furniture to clean behind but any heavy furniture will need to be moved.
